We add our EZProxy prefix to all netLibrary URLs in the 856 field. Here
is an example:
856 4 |3Bibliographic record
display|uhttp://library.hawkeyecollege.edu/login?url=http://www.netLibra
ry.com/urlapi.asp?action=summary&v=1&bookid=87291|zAn electronic book
accessible through the World Wide Web; click for information

We would like to code our MARC 856 field to link to our Proxy server
(we're using ezproxy) instead of linking directly into netlibrary for
our ebooks.
Are any libraries editing the 856 field by deleting subfield 3 with the
text "bibliographic record display?"
We need to insert the text
"lrcezproxy.clcillinois.edu/login?url=http://www.netlibrary.com"; at the
beginning of the 856 field subfield "u".
Or, do you have any suggestions as to how to make this work?
