[IUG] One year's paid data from serial records
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hi,
Has anyone discovered a strategy for creating an Excel spreadsheet
using data from serial records in III, to include order record
number, title, and paid amount for the most recent past fiscal year,
i.e. July 2005-June 2006?
Specifically, we have created a list of all current periodical
subscriptions. We would like to export to Excel, the titles, order
record numbers, and paid amounts for the fiscal year 2005-2006
only. III Millennium permits export of paid data but we've not found
a way to limit paid data by date. All paid data for all years
included in each order record are exported to Excel. The number of
payments in each order record varies by title, based on the number of
years the title was subscribed. Therefore the paid data for a
specific year for the titles in the spreadsheet do not line up in a
column. This means that every row (i.e. every title's data) must be
manipulated manually to align, into a single column, all paid data
from one specific year for all titles. For a spreadsheet containing
thousands of titles this is not practical.
Has anyone found an alternative strategy to use in Millennium? The
capability to limit paid amount by year was present in the
character-based version of the III system, but that capability
apparently has been removed.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
