RE: [IUG] Millennium Load Scheduler

Hello Debbie,
Would you happen to know if there is a limit on the number of records
that can be preprocessed, loaded or exported? have you run into any
issues with this?
Have you tried to do anything of this sort with an amount above 10,000
records?
Thanks
Jean-Marc

All,
We just had the Millennium Scheduler installed. I haven't finished
testing it so I may have some additional info for the list later, but I
can tell you what's included in its current functionality.
You can schedule create list, ftp records, preprocess records, load
records, export records. Neither Rapid Update nor Global Update are
currently included as options for scheduling. (Sure would be great
enhancements, though.)
Create list functionality takes a saved search strategy and runs the
query in a specified list entry. (That is, you tell it which list
number to use when running the search. You also designate which initials
should own the
list.)
The preprocessing and load functions allow you to choose any previously
created preprocessors or load profiles.
Emails are sent to a specified address when jobs are begun and finished.
Hope this is useful,
Debbi

Linda,
Can you expand a bit on what it does for you? in what way was it a real
enhancement for your operations?

Technically it will do what we want and more. I was hoping to find out
what experience others had using the product. Thanks!

Hello,
We have not purchased the product. But you should ask III these
questions:
What is the maximum number of records that can be loaded via Millennium
Schduler.
Can patron records can be loaded via the Millennium Scheduler?
Another question to ask is whether that product can be scheduled to run
Global Updates or Rapid Updates.
Just some ideas worth persuing...
Jean-Marc

Hello - We are interested in purchasing the Millennium Load Scheduler to
automatically schedule and run our patron record loads via FTP. Has
anyone been using the Scheduler for this purpose? If so, have you been
satisfied with the product? Thank you for your time.
