RE: [IUG] Server IP Change

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
I have looked at the manual page and looked at all of the suggestions
sent to my email. Problem is the targets on our icons and the
iiirunner.lax file do not have an IP in them. We are on Release 2006.
The target line used to have the IP in it, but that changed a couple of
releases ago. I've installed Millennium on a number of computers
recently (a lot of the staff computers were replaced) and every install
of Millennium asked for the server IP.

Jan,

It's in the iiirunner.lax file in your millennium directory, the line
will look something like:

lax.command.line.args=ip=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX port=2000
"workdir=X:\\Millennium" $CMD_LINE_ARGUMENTS$

Cheers

Jeff

My IT department is going to change our III server IP this Thursday. My
question is whether there is an easy way to change the IP that
Millennium looks for when it is launched. When I load Millennium on a
computer, the setup always asks for the IP of the server. So when the
IP changes this Thursday morning, all existing Millennium programs that
are launched should still be looking for the old IP.
I can uninstall and then reinstall the Millennium program using the new
IP but I'm hoping there is an easier way that I am just not seeing.
Thanks.
