We use a combination of a fixed field to denote the academic unit
supported by the item and then the variable Selector field to denote the
individual selector.

There is a field for selector. If you go to the
menu at the top of the screen and click "insert"
you will get a drop-down menu of options for
fields. Selector (s) can be chosen, then you can
add the information you need (we use initials),
then click "ok" and when you save the record
you'll see the selector field toward the bottom.
At least that is how it is in our system, I don't
know if this is something that has to be set up.
Hope this helps.

they are doing in a similar situation?
