RE: [IUG] Teleforms

I'd re-check the file formats. I noticed when we recorded ours that the
default format that the software wanted to save the files as was NOT the
format that was actually needed...

Jamen,
Yes, we tested all the messages and they played fine. We have
considered re-recording them, but did not think they were the problem
since they play back okay.
Thanks,

James,
We recently installed Teleforms here at Nashville Public, so it is still
kind of fresh on my mind. What it sounds like to me is that your
message is not recorded properly. Have you checked this to verify the
recording?

Subject: [IUG] Teleforms
Hello,
We have been having some trouble setting up our Teleforms machine to run
hold messages. We have been using Teleforms for overdue messages for
some time now and other than some hardware problems with our server,
have had no trouble. Holds messages, on the other hand, have been
problematic. Once all our messages were recorded and our TNS mapping
was finished, we began to run test holds to make sure it was working.
We used one our own patron records to place a hold and waited for it to
call us. When we send the test hold to initiate the call, it assigns
the right message profile, queues up the call, and makes the call, but
it does not play the message. When we answered the phone there was some
line noise like we were properly connected and after roughly the time it
should take the message to play it hung up.
Has anyone else had this trouble with Teleforms or has any ideas on what
we can do about it?
Thanks,
James Haney
