Re: [IUG] Process for using Syndetics information

Good morning! We have Syndetics images displayed with the further enrichment features accessed in "more information" in the bibliographic record display. However, I have tried to set up WebBridge to display the images in other Millennium modules following the instructions in the manual and I haven't been successful. Is there something you need to set up in the Millennium module itself (settings or Login Manager) to enable the display? Thanks for any advice you can offer! Kind regards, Eev

There are several forms of a url that can be used to retrieve the
syndetics content, such as displaying
the book jacket image, the TOC etc., or displaying the book jacket
image, which when clicked displays
the TOC, reviews etc.

This can be integrated into the catalog using webbridge links or through
the wwwoptions file
using bibimage, but you would want to use webbridge.

An example url would be:

http://syndetics.com/index dot aspx?isbn=# at ISBN#/index.html&client=SITECODE&type=rw12

These can be integrated into the browse or full record displays with
some limitations on where they can be located
depending on the setup of your webpac, use of the bib_display.html (or
not) file.

You can also access the content from applications outside of the webpac,
such as a new books list etc. The links can also be accessed from the
Millennium staff clients.

They provide monthly statistics on usage.
