[IUG] WebCT Vista and III ProxyServer

Our college recently switched over to WebCT Vista. After the switch patrons
are no longer able to access resources that require authentication through
the proxy server. if they are using Internet Explorer and are attempting to
access the resources from within WebCT Vista.

 

It does work when trying to access resources through the proxy server when
using Internet Explorer outside of WebCT Vista, or when using Firefox and
going through WebCT Vista.

 

It appears that IE is not able to properly set the necessary cookie when
people are within WebCT Vista. But other browsers (on PCs or Macs) are able
to do this.

 

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known issue with III's proxy
server and WebCT Vista?
