Bob,

ICON_... is used for certain customizable pages, while BUT_ is for
searchhlp.... pages. There is no complete list of which customizable
form pages that use ICON_... but the explanation for the customizable
forms will tell you which option it uses. That is my understanding and
my experience.

BUT_ wwwoptions point to an image file;  ICON_ wwwoptions can include
HTML 
code, so there's a whole lot more than can be done with an ICON_
wwwoption 
than with a BUT_ wwwoption.

But I think there's some confusion afoot.  As far as I know, BUT versus
ICON 
is not a choice---there are BUT wwwoptions and there are ICON wwwoptions
and 
they are applied to different things; I don't think there are any Web
options 
that can use BUT or ICON.  It's either a BUT wwwoption or it's an ICON 
wwwoption.
