I saw that in our system options but there were no choices in it -- it
says Call Innovate. Guess that is what I will have to do. Thanks everyone.

Hi Roger,
This is a Circulation System Option--#37 on our system. The option
reads "Renewals: New due date is computed" and the options are: FROM
DUE DATE or FROM RENEWAL DATE.
Hope this helps--
Leigh

Our board members have sure have had a lot of questions
lately. (You may recall I asked for help on defending the purchase
of beefed up computers for staff. I didn't bother to query on why we
even needed a cataloging utility in the first place!)
Our current question is:
Can you renew from the date the item is due, rather than from
the date you are renewing on?
Our board member had wanted his book for longer and renewed it
only to find it was due sooner than he thought it would be. He wants
to be able to add on from the due date.
We are still on 2002.3. I looked around for a possible system
setting or loan rule and couldn't find anything. All I find is when
you can renew after checkout, (which we have set for 1 day) and the
renewal periods and the number of renewals possible. These loan
rules and such were set up when we first went on III back in 1999, so
I am hoping newer releases might have something that could address
this issue (or there is somewhere I am not looking). We hope to be
joining a consortium that will have a newer release than ours.
Thanks for your time,
