Re: [IUG] Upgrading from Web OPAC 6 LE to WebPac Pro Question

No, at least at this time, and I would think definitely in the future since it requires checking the webpub.def
files that you would need to request that it be enabled after the initial 2006 upgrade. We upgraded to
2006 but are not yet using webpacpro, though will be soon and have it enabled on staging ports.

Is WebPac Pro to be a later viable option once a site upgrades to R2006?
Such would certainly allow more of the "Insight and/or tales" to deal
with the R2006 then the PR0.

Or will a site hit WebPac Pro instantly with R2006?

Bob,

Have you heard when R2006 will be in general release? Last time I heard
is late June and now we are approaching late July.

I think that your question can probably be answered by checking out the
list of preliminary enhancements on CSDirect. (And unless you plan on
purchasing the Feed Builder product, IMO you are not wasting your time
on anything you're doing with feeds or new book lists.)

And since requests for info about R2006 seem to be coming up a lot
lately...beta test sites have to agree to keep things confidential.
Insight and/or tales of personal experience with WebPAC Pro or any other
R2006 functionality *should be* hard to come by until R2006 is in
general release.
