RE: [IUG] Upgrading from Web OPAC 6 LE to WebPac Pro Question

>From what I remember of the IUG sessions, the way Mark describes the
process is pretty much how it will go. Once a library upgrades to 2006,
they request that their staging port "goes Pro." After sufficient
testing/tweaking/styling in staging, the library requests that their
live site goes Pro. What I don't remember is whether the live Pro
upgrade includes a "replace live with staging" step, or whether the
library is responsible for doing that after the Pro upgrade. As Mark
says, though, it's best to check with III in case they've changed
procedures based on beta site experience.

Jim:
My experience was that we updated to Release 2006, and WebPac pro
wasn't
automatically on, but that was a Beta experience. I opened a ticket to
schedule having Weppac PRO put on for my 2082 ports so I could test
drive
it and get an idea how it would behave. After testing it on my test
ports
for 8 weeks I then asked them to turn it on for my live server on
Monday.
I can't say for sure if this is how it will be handled when it goes
into
full release, so please check with Innovative when that time comes.
