[IUG] suppressing subject headings
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hi Timothy
No need to delve into webpub.def. This can be done through the MARC
labels file. If you have advanced system admin, then you can do it
yourself. If not, III will do it for you. Basically, if no MARC label
is defined for a particular tag (or tag/indicator combination) then it
won't display in the OPAC.
Check out Page # 105810, particularly the effect of a blank label.

Hello
Is it possible to suppress subject headings in the OPAC based upon
certain field indicators?
In our case, it would be for any with the second indicator set to "0".
My sense is that the webpub.def file would be the place to do this, but
I'm not quite sure.
Thanks
