    If I am understanding your question correctly, I must admit that at our library we do not archive order records for the simple reason that we never seem to have to refer back to them -- we re-use order records to keep from having to purchase more blocks of records, for the sake of economy.  Whether or not you archive order records would depend on how you anticipate using the archived information in the future, I believe.
