RE: [IUG] RSS Feeds and New Books

Deb,

I use create lists to export a tabbed delimited file of Title,
Description, date added and record number. I then run a perl script on
my pc to generate the xml files, which are then ftp'd back into the
screens directory of our innopac server.

The process is a bit manual and takes about 5 min once a week, but seems
to work ok, and looking at the cost of the RSS builder product I will
continue to do this. If you want a copy of the script I can send it you.

Subject: [IUG] RSS Feeds and New Books

Hi,

We're a consortium and would like to create an RSS feed with a new books

list. Has anyone done this? If so, how did you do it?
What scripts did you write to pull the data from the III system?

Thanks
deb
