I would not disable the call number hyperlinks. Admittedly, when one clicks
on one of these hyperlinks, one gets the message (or used to) that says that
item is not in the catalog (but you just clicked on it!!!). The problem has
to be with III's system--again. Ideally the call number should be
correlated to the first and/or second subject headings. The class number is
simply an alpha-numeric subject entry; clicking on it should give the patron
a virtual shelf list. If it doesn't or if it is baffling to the patron, the
fault is not with the patron with the ILS.
