Re: [IUG] RE: Search help screens Internet Explorer issue

Thanks for pointing that out -- another cleanup chore neglected. (How humiliating....) This is not the file with the problem, however. Bob Duncan found an unclosed html tag that was the culprit that was in all my srchhelp_ files since I had cut and pasted into each of those.

This group is such a helpful one. One of the best groups I participate in. --Margaret

I did notice when looking at your source code that you have two body tags, as well as two head tags. This might be causing trouble.

I can't figure out what is happening. It seems to happen on every
srchhelp_ screen but not on the opacmenu.html. The problem does not
exist in Firefox, but does in IE. And, the same thing doesn't not
happen in catalogs from other institutions. We tried Ferris State and
the University of Miami and things worked as we would want them to.

If you go directly to one of the srchhelp screens and type in something
in the search box, then attempt to highlight what is typed with the
mouse, it will not allow you to do so. Sometimes you can get the text
indicator, i.e., cursor. to appear in the search box and use the keys to
delete and type over. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is not the search screen that we are having difficulty with. It
happens on the other search screens, but not on this one. -margaret
