Hi 

I had the same problem as Joy but found that if I right-clicked on the ppt 
presentations and saved to my desktop and printed from there there was no 
problem.

There maybe some files that are problematic and those should be reported 
directly to me (cseeman at umich dot edu <mailto:cseeman at umich dot edu> ).  I have 
not heard about this from others, but that certainly does not mean that it 
is not happening. 
 
Some of these PowerPoint slides are large because of a large number of 
screenshots.  There are a number of instances where the files can get to 
3-4 MB, but those should download pretty quickly.  Some might even be 
larger.  Depending on how the image files have been created and put into 
PowerPoint, some of the files can be much larger than that.
 
>From the lovely business center in the Grand Rapids LaQuinta in, it took 
30 second to download a 5MB file.  (I have spies everywhere).

Hello all,

Is it just me and my ITD or does it take a long, long time to download the 
ppt presentations from the conference website?  It takes so long that I 
usually end up canceling the operation because I need to move on to other 
tasks.  I can open and print the ppt's posted on CS Direct with no 
problem. 

Anybody have any insight?
