Janice,

I entered an enhancement request a couple of years back to change this.
We are a law school library and imagine an attorney seeing the display
after performing an author search: Aba section of this, and that; so on
and so forth. It is appalling. Maybe now we have enough votes to vote
that into the enhancement list.

Subject: [IUG] "normalization" of index browse display

Is there a workaround to get OPAC displays to capitalize correctly,
e.g. a title like "MARC formatting, pre-2002" so it doesn't display
as "Marc formatting pre 2002"?

From the III manual:
The headings from the index are displayed in alphabetical order.
INNOPAC removes all punctuation marks and capitalizes the first
letter of each word.

(this kind of thing makes the library catalog look like it's been
typed by monkeys, not that there's anything wrong with monkeys ;)
