FYI - you can include a doctype on all III generated pages in the
WWWOPTIONS file using:
INSERTTAG_HTML=<doctype declaration>

The recent redesign of our catalog makes extensive use of style sheets,
both in the static and dynamic pages. Since I am a strong believer in
web standards, I did struggle a bit with some of the quirks of the III
generated pages (if they could stop generating those errant <font> tags
and let me include a doctype on all pages, I would me much happier).
You can see our catalog at: http://oscar.edgewood.edu/
If you're interested in looking the CSS over, There are actually got two
files:
http://oscar.edgewood.edu/screens/mainmenus.css - for static pages
http://oscar.edgewood.edu/screens/iiipages.css - for III generated pages
