It makes sense with the "First Data" message. We are going to double check
our VeriSign Account with a Rep.

Sounds like your account went inactive at the payment processor, First
Data. This can happen if you had a long period of no activity on your
account. Same thing happened to me when I let a long period lapse
between initial setup and testing. Check with your account rep at First
Data.
