RE: [IUG] Turnkey System Backup Question

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
We initialize all the tapes once a week, cycle three sets offsite, and have a raid system just in case... not really different, but we only initialize once for the whole week, this helps reduce the amount of backup information stored onsite and by the beginning of the fourth week the data is getting too stale anyways...

Subject: [IUG] Turnkey System Backup Question

I'd like to hear from any turnkey site that is doing ANYTHING with their
backup process besides using one tape drive and changing tapes each
day.

We are performing unattended backups/verifications but we would like to
move to a more automated system of backing up and get rid of having to
change & initialize the tape each day.

Thanks!
