Re: [IUG] Creation of item records with Millennium Acquisitions

We do things differently here. We don't use Rapid Receive. In the orders mode, we bring up the order record and enter the date in the rdate field. We are not prompted to create an item. If you use Rapid Receive and don't want to create an item record, take a look at pg. 100630 in the manual.

Because of this very issue, we don't use the "Receive" function. We just
go into each record in the "Orders" area and add the received date and use
macros to add the other code changes we need.

If there is a way to turn off the item creation we would love to hear it.

We have begun using Millennium Acquisitions with Release 2005 1.0. When
we receive an ordered book Millennium Acquisitions automatically creates
an item record. Is there any way to turn off this option? Creating
item records was formerly a function of the cataloging staff rather than
acquisitions.

Are we missing something?

Thanks for any advice on this whole process.
