RE: [IUG] patrons deny setting foot in library

Hello Diane--

Are you saying that this error happens all the time under such
circumstances? Or are you indicating a belief that this error could
have happened occasionally?

I just tried to replicate that error and the system knew that I had
scanned in an item barcode. I did not check out the item to the
previous customer. The error message said that I had not scanned in a
patron bar code yet. (Good thing...)

Thanks.

Frank

We believe this has happened when the circ clerk forgets to scan the new
patron's card. Even though the original patron record was closed, if
the clerk scans materials without scanning a card first, those materials
may check out on the previous patron's record.
