Re: [IUG] Unattended backups

Hi Amy,

You need to go into your Unattended Backup Log and manually "skip" the
verification process of the last day that actually recorded a complete
backup but not a verify. During the skip verify process it will ask
for an explanation before you can move on. Once the verification has
been skipped then the system will allow unattended backups again.

Hope this helps.

Hello!

We are having some unexplained difficulties with our unattended
backups.
Everything was working keenly until just a few days ago. Suddenly,
our
unattended backup logs are saying "NOT DONE." Now why would this be?

We have swapped out the tapes so we are using all new tapes. We've
made
sure that the backups are properly scheduled and that the tapes are
initialized. In fact, in checking the initialization this morning
after
observing this "NOT DONE" message, it still says that the tape is
initialized. I seem to be able to perform a manual backup and verify
without any hitches, but I sure become the bad guy with the staff when
I
have to do it.

I just can't figure out what the problem is. Any help you have to
offer
would sure be appreciated.

Thank you!
