Hi All;

We at ALIS in Nassau County, New York have been experiencing problems with the Millennium Offline client. In numerous instances we have had a library lose connectivity with our Innovative server and attempt to provide library services through the offline client. In many instances, the users can launch the client but cannot go to the view menu, to either check or alter their agency specific codes, without the software freezing. In other instances the software freezes when the staff members attempt to input either a patron or item barcode. I have personally witnessed this problem and the only alternative we are left with to work around the problem is to un-install the offline client and then re-install it. This seems to work in the short term, however if the same library attempts to use the offline circulation client a week later they may experience the same problem all over again.
Has anyone else experienced this type of problem? We would appreciate any input you could provide.
