What are you specifically trying to do? We've had success using
Javascript to customize aspects of our catalog. For example, placing first
chapter and excerpt links and the book image from syndetics on the record
page:

you can do other things, such as link to openworldcat or ILL forms on failed
searches, or other things even.

Does anyone know if one can run PHP scripts on customized pages in the
OPAC? Also, I'm presuming that pages that end with .php would not work
in the web opac.
