Be sure to pickup a cleaning cartridge as well. HP's is c5709A. The heads are usually what go bad with tape backup units; thus it is wise to keep them clean. We perform backup 6 days per week and cleaning once a week.
We have used Fuji and Maxell with no problems. Your key should be ordering the capacity size and length you need. We use the 20GB size which is 4mm and 150 meters long.

If you think a different tape is better, I'd appreciate your thoughts.
