This may have been answered already, but for some reason (first time this
ever happened), I didn't receive the email digest number 3. Odd. Anyway >

I noticed the same thing (and it really does say that in the manual as well
-- "labels are not included in this display" -- go figure, eh?).

Just taking a big guess here... I haven't tried it yet since our staff is
still deciding on what they want displayed using the briefcit, but I'm
pretty sure that these changes need to occur at the html level of the table
up in the search_whatever.html (eg. search_X.html). If you look at the
briefcit you'll see that it starts out with a "tr" command -- thus
everything in there is filling a row. In other words you are creating a
table within a table. So to do further formatting (I think) we need to go
to the calling table command.

As a side note: I already tried putting the headings within the
briefcit table and it then added them to each row, obviously not what I
wanted.

Hope that makes sense. I kinda figured this out when using briefcit also
took away my column cell dividers and then when I used the border command
in the <table> within the briefcit.html, I ended up with double borders.
Ick. So anyway, I plan on force feeding the column headings and my borders
in the search html. If you try this before I do, let me know how it goes
<grin>.

Off to "play" but thought I'd at least send you in the same direction.

But heck if that's the "hard" way and anyone else has better ideas let me
know.

And, I can't seem to figure out how to get the column headers to
work.
In our current catalog (see http://cals.evergreen.edu/search~S2/Wking
for an example), the columns are headed with "NUM", "Mark for
Bookcart",
"Keywords", "Year", and "Entries found". But once I use a briefcit
form I
lose all the headers except for the "Keywords" (or whatever type of
search
is being done). Anyone know how to add those column headers back?
