Kathy,
I believe that the problem is that other types of searches are set to Browse an index thus resulting in the display of "Your entry would be here ...) Keyword searches are not browsing in this manner. We have an Error token in the Keyword search form that tells the user that the term was not found and echoes back the term in the search box so the user may check his or her spelling. You can work with Innovative on the wording of the error message.
(In addition since we have Innreach, our patron is given the icon option of searching our Innreach server if the term is spelled correctly but does not appear in the catalog)

Subject: [IUG] Keyword search failure
Please help me troubleshoot this problem.... This may fall into the realm
of the obvious, but I'm stumped.
Our keyword search is set up as searchtype=Y from our mainmenu. No
problems, searches as it should. Except when something is typo'd. In any
of my other searches the system performs as the manual (#101171) says (e.g.
title search > goes to a spot in the index which says "your search term ...
would be here").
However keyword failure puts the user on a search screen with no additional
help -- doesn't say 'no results found' and its not our mainmenu screen -- I
haven't dug deep enough to figure out what screen its going to, but we
would like it to go to the spot in the index (like it reads in the manual)
or at a minimum at least to a screen where it tells the user that there
were no results found.
So any clues? How do I tell the system where to go when a search fails
(the only option I found in the user manual was the setting for switching
author names around)? How does the system know what action to take if a
search fails for a given header or index - why is it working for all except
for keyword?
As usual, thanks in advance!
