Kim --

I was playing with this at Toledo before I left. The page is still
available:

http://utmost.cl.utoledo.edu/screens/guide_cl_staff.html

This has a great deal of potential for pushing information out to people
and creating pages that take some of the question out of RSS feeds.

The RSS Feeds look like this:

The IUG Clearinghouse
<!--{RSS:http://www.innovativeusers.org/rss/clearinghouse.rss:8:f:f:0}--
>

OhioLINK News
<!--{RSS:http://olc7.ohiolink.edu/whatsnew/index.xml:5}-->

Library News from Library Journal
<!--{RSS:http://www.libraryjournal.com/LJNews.xml:5}-->
<!--{RSS:http://www.libraryjournal.com/LJInfotech.xml:5}-->
<!--{RSS:http://www.libraryjournal.com/LJBook.xml:5}-->
<!--{RSS:http://www.libraryjournal.com/LJTechblog.xml:5}-->
<!--{RSS:http://www.libraryjournal.com/IntheBookroom.xml:5}-->

Since it can take a while to pull the information from the RSS feed into
the Millennium system, it was suggested to me by Dinah Sanders that you
put some test on the screeen above the RSS feeds to let people know that
the data is coming.

I am very excited about the Feed Builder as well and think that there
are many technical services applications for this.

Does this help?

I will try to get this as an example on the Clearinghouse. There will
be a few programs at IUG 2006 in Denver on RSS feeds so hopefully more
good information will be generated and shared at that point.

Best -- Corey

Subject: [IUG] Setting up RSS on 2006LE

We have just upgraded to 2006LE and enabled RSS Feeds through the Help
Desk. I have read the documentation on manual pages 106684 and 106681
and set up the wwwoptions for feeds.

I understand how to insert the tokens to show the feeds, but I need help
generating the RSS feed or figuring out what the URL is for the feed if
it already exists.

Is there anyone on this list willing and able to help me understand this
process and take the next step?! Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
