Senior Librarian, Youth Services (LIB008)

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITITES: * Provide a comprehensive program of
library services to youth and families to include reference and reader's
advisory services, planning and implementing story times and special
programs for children and families; including a summer reading program *
Prepare bibliographies and display; * Supervise part-time staff and
volunteers; * Provide school tours and visits; * Prepare weekly reports
and monthly statistical reports; * Some evening and weekend hours
required. QUALIFICATIONS: * Masters Degree in Library or Information
Science from an ALA accredited school preferred; * Good written and oral
communication skills, flexibility and knowledge of children's literature
and reference materials, both online and in print is required . *
Experience working with children, planning and implementing programs; *
Supervisory experience is preferred. MINIMUM STARTINGSALARY: $39,586
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time Permanent
