We just upgraded last week and I received some reports that view holds is no longer working from our branches. They get an error "Cannot Connect to database server". I cannot find any mention in the documentation or the release notes that says that this function now requires port 1031 to be open. The Access through local firewalls document on csdirect does not give any hints that you need that port for view holds in release 2005. This is quite annoying, I would have taken care of it before hand if it would have been documented in the release notes.
Does anyone else wish that innovative had a comment system for their documentation so that errors and omissions could be noted before the next release. Or maybe they should just use a Wiki.
