Hi, Bill:

Feel free to browse our catalogs at http://www.cwmars.org. We
have many public libraries circulating popular periodicals, and
about 17 libraries using Millennium Serials for checkin. These 2
groups are not mutually exclusive. Try "National geographic
traveler" in either our Central or Western catalog. There you
will see both the MilSer holdings display and the myriad of
circulating items from various libraries.

There are some periodicals with so many libraries subscribing
and so many issues circulating that we gave each library its own
mini-bib record while retaining the full MARC record with items
that point to the other records. In either catalog try Time,
Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, U.S. New & World Report, or
People, for example. There are certain inconsistencies because
some of the libraries don't seem to know they are attaching
items to the wrong record, not the system's fault. But you'll
get the idea.
