Thank you to the list for answers to my query a couple of weeks ago on whether
anyone were using Metadata Builder to encode EAD finding aids. From the
response, it appears that no one is, and we are pursuing another avenue.
Although MARC Edit will do the descriptive portions of a finding aid, we
wanted something that would also support container lists, and are currently
working on adapting for our collections the code of an Access database
developed by NLM. We are still investigating ways to apply style sheets for
public display on HTML.
Again, thanks for the response to a query somewhat out of the mainstream.
