Hi Sandra,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with me!!!

I did ask our IT to check the firewall port and all the ports are open.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again!

The most frequent cause of this type of problem is a local firewall issue.

We use Connexion Client and Windows XP, although we are not on Linux. Our
server is Sun/Solaris. When I first switched from CATME, Connexion would
not work, so I got our local campus network people to check the firewall
ports and got the appropriate one opened so I could export from the Client
to our INNOPAC server.

We had the same problem with regular Connexion and that never got fixed.
With regular Connexion, the firewall still interferes. But since we prefer
the Client anyway, I gave up on that one (our campus IT people are not
exactly responsive).

We are in the process of migration to III Millennium. The system should go
to live this month. But now the function of OCLC Export to Millennium still
doesn't work. It is a critical issue for our cataloging. III staff is still
working on it ...... We really hope we can have a solution soon.

The operating system of our server is Linux. The operating system of
workstations is MS XP. We use OCLC Connexion client.

Any suggestion or advices are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
