RE: PS/2 --> USB cable
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
We just ran into the same problem here w/an upgrade to Dells.
A "regular" PS/2 to USB adapter wouldn't work w/the Opticon wedge
readers we have. Opticon routed me to a specific vendor (Scan Technology
/ www.scantec.com) they work with that has a PS/2 to USB converter w/
an additional chip in it that will supposedly solve the problem. We
just ordered them, so I can't tell you if they work yet.

We just upgraded our PC's to Dells. They only have USB ports. Out IT
department was able to supply us with PS/2 to USB adapters. Our Percon
readers and wedges work with the adapters.

Is anyone using a PS/2 Percon barcode decoder box with a PS/2 to USB
cable?
