'Ghost image' is a term used by Norton Ghost, a hard drive imaging/cloning software program developed by Symantec, there are other suppliers of imaging/cloning software, but many consider Norton Ghost to be the best.

Hate to show my ignorance, but what exactly is a "ghost image"?

Dear Innopac Folk.
We are building a ghost image for our staff PCs, upgrading all of them (26)
to Windows XP.
We are on Millennium Silver 1.1 and will upgrade to a new server and the
latest release in the spring.
Is it worth it to add Millennium to this ghost image?
