scoping title search problem

We're having trouble with our Title searches. Our server houses the records
for us (U.T <http://lib3.panam.edu/screens/opacmenu_s5.html> Pan American)
and U.T. <http://lib3.panam.edu/screens/opacmenu_s2.html> Brownsville. UTB
is scoped to S2; we're scoped to S5. When we do a Title search on our opac,
the first page we see is a UTPA results list, but sometimes, when we go
deeper into the list, we get a list or item records that come from the old
default mixed catalog. The top logo and buttons (Start Over, etc.) refer to
the old opac, and the location drop down menu switches from University of
Texas Pan American Library to View Entire Collection. As a result, we're
getting records from both schools mixed together, which can be confusing to
all of us, especially students.

This often happens with an initial Title search. Sometimes it doesn't
happen with later searches. Clearing the cache eliminates the problem, but
once you close the browser and reopen it, the problem returns. We have the
same problem using IE, Netscape, and Firefox. The problem is with Title
searches only; Subject, Author, and Keyword searches work fine. U.T.
Brownsville is not having this problem, as far as I know. I've also removed
the various title search and opac menu pages that we're not using from the
server. If you have any ideas for fixing this problem, please let me know.
Thanks.
