Could this not also be achieved by editing the Overlay protection fields in your system?

To see how they're currrently set:

M>I>S>D>7

To change them (including options for preserving/deleting incoming/existing fields):

A>A>S>O>D>22

My library needs an Innovative load profile that would (1) protect the
090 and 099 fields from overlay when we import records into the system
and (2) allow *more*than*one* 090 and/or 099 field to exist in each
record as it is imported into the system. (If a record has more than one
090 and/or 099 in it, the default behavior of our III system is to keep
one of the fields and strip out the rest.)

I have submitted a request to Innovative to build this load table, and
they returned a price quote that's greater than the cost of sending a
staff member for load profile training. My question to those who've
already had the training is this: would load profile training allow a
library staff member to do the two things stated above, or are my
requests so complicated that we would have to pay for III to build the
profile even after we sent a staff member for training?

III's documentation simply doesn't make it clear (not to a novice like
me, anyway) what exactly is learned in load profile training or what one
would be "allowed" to do afterward.
If anybody has any light to shed on the subject, please respond.

thanks,
