_*This position involves responsibility for performing a wide range of software related tasks including but not limited to systems support and web development. The work is performed in the Acquisitions Department under the general supervision of the department head and is reviewed through conferences and on the basis of results achieved.

*_EXAMPLES OF WORK_*

§ Develops database driven web applications from library primary source material.

§ Assists as needed with the design and maintenance of the library's Web pages.

§ Works with IT staff of online vendors to set up the library's electronic resources.

§ Works with various library vendors to write computer programs that allow the download of information from vendor web sites into the library's catalog for ordering purposes; creates Innovative load tables when necessary to accomplish this

§ Responsible for day to day management of the library's automated accounting system (Innovative Interfaces)

§ Serves as liaison with Innovative Interfaces (integrated library system) to resolve issues and problems relating to Acquisitions and Serials

§ Writes procedures and provides training to library staff on Innovative, web access, and ordering procedures

§ Writes computer scripts to customize and format reports created from Innovative review files

§ Attends annual ILS users group meeting to gain insight into existing and proposed aspects of the entire Innovative system and especially of the acquisitions and serials modules. From time to time presents programs at these meetings.

Undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university, supplemented by attainment of a master's degree in library science from an ALA accredited institution. Certification in web technologies desired.

*_HOURS AND BENEFITS_**_
_*80 hours biweekly, including weekends and evenings, Grade 20, annual salary range of $33,238.40 - $51,584.00. Excellent benefit package includes 12 paid holidays, vacation, sick, and major medical health, dental and life insurance. All positions may include morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours, including Sundays. Employees may be required to adapt to future schedule and location changes depending on library needs. Must have capability to substitute at other library locations as needed.
