Hi Jill,
This is a most excellent idea. I have forwarded your message on to my director and will push to see if there is something we can do here. We don't have any open positions but if the funds can be scraped together, I could certainly use some extra IT support for a few months. Given the generous mindset of the community I live in, I am sure we could find housing and short term employment for at least one family to help them recover. With all the libraries in the country, too be sure we could pool enough resources to help out, at least till the staff are able to go back and rebuild their own libraries. Given the devastation, that could be awhile in some areas.
I would encourage others reading this list to forward Jill's idea on to your colleagues outside the IUG list.
