We found a similar problem when we redid our catalog. We discovered it
by clicking the link to the bib record for an item listed as checked out
in the patron record. The problem is that page, which is created on the
fly by the system, seems to be generating bad code and that code broke
the table we were using. We reported this to III and were told it was
passed on to engineering. We've yet to receive any follow-up to the
call.

If you are using nested tables and can simplify the page so it isn't so
reliant on tables or re-code your tables, you might be able to fix it so
that it's not noticeable. That was not an option for us.
