Karen,
The to load the file of barcodes in with the PROCESS PC transactions the
barcodes have to be preceded with a "n:". That is the way the PERCON
device saved the files on my pc when we were doing an inventory.
e.g.
n:33891000712979
n:33891000289978
n:33891000758097
n:33891000609787
n:33891000432370
Hope that works.

Subject: RE: import review list?
Hi Clay,
Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately it didn't work, but since you use
this, let me ask you:
When it shows you a list of empty review files on the telnet side, are
they numbered the same way as on the Millennium side? That is, on the
telnet side it shows me as emply lists number 1 - 57, numbered
consecutively, but on the Millennium side, lists 1-5 are in use, I know
that the first empty list is number 6. Is that how it works for you, or
am I having a disconnect between the telnet and Millennium lists?
Thanks,

Karen: It may be as simple as logging out of, and then back into, your
Millennium client before the review file becomes visible in Millennium.
I use this process all the time, and the lists that I create in INNOPAC
(from files of barcodes as you describe) do not show up in Millennium
until I restart my Millennium Cataloging client.
Curiously, the lists do seem to appear immediately in Millennium
Circulation (without logging out), but not in Millennium Cataloging.

Subject: import review list?
I'm a Millennium user. I'm trying to generate a Review file from a list
of item barcodes. My barcodes are already in an ASCII file, I don't
want to sit and rekey them one by one into search boxes.
I found a post in the IUG archives from Kirsti Thomas on "Percon and
Lists by Call Number" (12 Aug 2005.) This described a technique for
using PROCESS PC transactions for uploading such a file and saving it as
a review file, but this came with a caveat that it was for Innopac,
rather than Millennium. I gave it a try, and the instructions seemed to
work for us, and I saved my resulting review file.
But now, when I use Millennium to go to create lists I can't find that
review file. I'm suspecting that the Telnet/Innopac review file area is
a separate space from the Millennium review file area -- on the telnet
side, when it asked me to pick an empty review file, it showed them all
as empty and didn't list all the files we've already used.
Can someone tell me how to move my review list from the telnet side
(where I don't even know how to see it) to the Millennium side? Or is
there a Millennium user who knows another way to turn an ascii barcode
file into a Review file for Create lists (global update, and etc.)
Thanks in advance for all your kind help,
