My fried Kate in Baton Rouge says that they fared OK. Some of the city is
without power, but most are OK. LSU Libraries are reopening to staff
tomorrow, and classes start again on the 1st. Kate's boss, who lives in New
Orleans and evacuated up to BR with his wife, kids, dog and rabbit, is going
to be looking for an apartment. He thinks he saw his house on the news --
in 8 feet of water. Suddenly, 113 degree heat doesn't seem so bad.
