Laura,

Well, Anita must be happy. I could make a very snide comment right now, but I'm trying to be good.

How was Oklahoma?

School started today, so there are all these pesky students around taking up space, especially parking space. I'll have to start getting here earlier. SVSU students should see what we have to contend with when it comes to parking and they would count their blessings. Staff do not get any preferential treatment either. It's really dicey trying to find parking if you have to go off campus for a meeting. Although with gas prices predicted to go to $3 a gallon, we may be teleconferencing!

We're hoping to get the patron database loaded this week and then Circ can go up. I found the Fines paid file in character based, but we were looking for something that would show what fines are pending on a weekly basis. Didn't see much in the way of financial info.

We're arguing for a second SCAT table. I've made it quite clear from day one that we had LC and text-based call numbers and we need to accommodate both. What do you think our chances are of getting this free?!!

Can't believe it's almost September. Last year at this time we were awaiting our two RFPs.
It seems much longer than that. More like 3 years ago, but then, I wasn't even here then.

Hope all is well with you. How's your presentation going?

Sue
