We are new to Millenium (Silver, 4 months) and assumed that we HAD to run Clear Hold Shelf daily in order to activate the 10 day expiration date for our items on the Hold shelf. Otherwise they just sit there or go back on Hold for the same person. If there is a way to operate without doing this we would like to know what it is. The problem with Clear Hold Shelf for us has been that it puts into motion a book - either in transit or to the next person on a Hold list - without actually having the book in hand. Sometimes, for reasons we can't figure out, the book isn't on the Hold shelf. Therefore, a person will be getting a Holds Available notice when there is no book - and it is time consuming to straighten that out. Is anyone else having this problem?
