Agnes Scott is the top-ranked national liberal arts college in Georgia, and the highest ranked women's college in the South.  The college sits on a beautiful 100+ year old campus adjacent to downtown Decatur, and McCain Library (which is in the collegiate Gothic style, like much of the architecture on campus) recently underwent a massive renovation and addition, completed in Jan 2001.  Decatur is only 8 miles from downtown Atlanta, on the MARTA rail line, and a great community on its own, with a thriving and energetic downtown.
