We are in a similar situation - our URL Checker has not worked since we
upgraded to Silver, and it is also being looked at by Software
Engineering.

Our URL checker hasn't been working correctly since we upgraded to
Silver. As far as we know, you can only limit it to a small date range,
but at present we can't get any result at all. Eventually the problem
was sent to Software Engineering by the helpdesk. It could be related to
the fact that we are an oracle site - it used to work.

We find that URL Checker  is very processor-intensive.  
Is it possible to tune  URL Checker for example by limiting the number
of concurrent threads?
