However, it's also possible to turn your list of
items that resulted from scanning barcodes into a list of bibs. First,
use Global Update on the list of items to add a note with some
distinctive text to each record. Then create a new list of bibs where
the search criterion is "Item Note has [whatever distinctive text you
used]".
I haven't been following this thread so I might be missing something
about this specific project.
But, in general, it's really easy to make a review file of bibs from a
review file of items. Just start a new search, choose bibs for your
record type, use your file of items as a range, and don't specify any
search conditions.
